Soni Cox has been innovating and developing the My Way Code process since 2015. As an experienced and BACP accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with over 15 years experience, Soni has fine tuned the process during this time through research, community co-development work and adapting for a children's program as well as her continuing therapy practice.
During her therapeutic work, she identified some common questions about client's health and wellbeing, their relationships and who they have to support them were great foundations for understanding how they could make the changes they sought help for.
Knowing that mental health services are in crisis and thresholds becoming hard to qualify for help; she wanted to bring easy to understand, engaging and fun resources within an aspirational and progressive metaphor to people to help them navigate the inevitable ups and downs life.
The Core Team have been involved since My Way Code's inception bringing together all their professional experience of mental health development, independent financial management & large scale programme management.
We are lucky to also have advisors and supporters across many associated industries including Management Consultancy, Data and AI and Global Innovation for Health.

Increase in need for remote workforce support
ORCHA' S DIGITAL & MENTAL HEALTH RECOVERY ACTION PLANS REPORT* shows the numbers of people in the UK searching for mental health apps increase by over 200% during lockdown, showing a clear appetite for psychological mHealth solutions.
Working from home has lead to more people needing to self manage stress because isolated from support by colleagues, increased workload and loss of work-life balance.
My Way Code offers these users all of this learning and support and can be provided by workplace as benefit whilst offering feel-good factor of donated licences helping others (CSR)
But also provides the opportunity to build on increase in use of tech
Globally, consumers spent $1.5bn in Health and Fitness apps in 2019. All ages have had to adapt to using technology - a digital leap has already occurred. The edTech and mHealth Markets rapid growth rate make it an ideal opportunity for reach, accessiblity and cost.
As a program borne out of real life mental health professional practice where the confidentiality and safety of data (content) is of utmost importance, My Way Code is focused on building our technology on these fundamentals for all data and use of AI.
BUT FIRST the quality of AI, machine learning, natural language processing, measuring outcomes in any technology is only as ethical, unbiased, inclusive and accessible as the quality of the data.
Data is at the heart of our mission so that:
So our technology platform's foundations need to be built from the ground up using the principles of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) data so that we can achieve all we want to for the user, the program and wider society.
Only 32% of digital health for mental health meet minimum quality thresholds
My Way Code is acutely aware of the amount of apps claiming to help mental health that fall way below standards of Clinical/Professional Assurance, Data & Privacy, and Usability & Accessibility.
We will seek to exceed all standards for health apps, data governance and security from the outset. We will work with Dutch national organisations like Orcha Health BV, GGZ Appwijzer Mindex, National eHealth Living Lab (NeLL) and work towards the relevant EU ISO Standards for Data Privacy.
